Printer issues

Post #1 by Snowcat » Wed Feb 25, 2015 12:19 pm

I've an HP photosmart c4280 printer I use for crafting purposes, i.e., printing sheets off CDs to make greeting cards. I seem to be having problems with the print quality and I'm not sure if its the cartridges that are not good quality or if the printer is simply just knackered, I use refilled cartridges not original HP cartridges as gets too expensive to make cards for charity etc if you constantly use original ones. Never had a problem before with refills. I've printed a test sheet off and all seems fine, all the colours are present in the sample but if I print a whole sheet of say patterned paper about 1/3rd of the page down the colour drains out of the print and it just prints in shades of grey/pink. Has anyone any idea? Is it likely to be my printer or more likely the cartridges? Have cleaned the printer heads several times with o joy.
