Using computer in another room...

Post by wittykitty » Wed Sep 07, 2016 10:14 pm

Okay, will try to explain lol. I have a computer set up in the front room where I run JRiver Media Centre and play films / boxsets saved on my NAS through the TV (HDMI) port.

I'd like to be able to play those films in the kitchen.

The house is hardwired with Ethernet ports available, but I have a feeling it's not going to be as simple as plug EN cable from TV to port on the wall....

Has anyone done anything similar?
It's snowed so hard here I can't find where I parked my unicorn....
