Issued 18th March 2017
Becoming colder but dryer.
Low pressure will give way to high pressure by the end of the week, thus turning dry and sunny but remaining fairly cold.
The start of the week will see a continuation of the windy, mild and unsettled conditions as a band of rain slowly moves south.
Into mid week it becomes colder and brighter from the north as the rain continues to push south. A risk of some snow on higher ground as the cold air catches up with the rain in the south mid week. Northern areas cold, bright with wintry showers.
By the end of the week high pressure will move in from the north west to give plenty of dry and sunny weather into the weekend. Feeling cold still, especially in the south with a brisk easterly wind.
