Ok, knowing this site is read Europe wide and not just Britain, perhaps relevant people might pass this information on as it concerns us all and it can always be deleted or we can keep it as part of the media forum.
I don't know what exactly 'Imediately' entails, perhaps government bodies will arrange collection of British or European Nationals via military conveyance or arrangements with airlines etc. One has to wonder if travel insurance covers this.

If you know or in contact with friends or family who might not be up on the news, pass it on.

Britain, Germany, Netherlands tell citizens to leave Benghazi

None of the countries would elaborate on the intelligence that prompted the advisory, but Britain's Foreign Office said it was 'aware of a specific and imminent threat.' ... 8347.story

British nationals should leave the Libyan city of Benghazi immediately "in response to a specific threat to Westerners", the Foreign Office says.

It said the British Embassy in Tripoli had been in contact with British nationals whose details it had.

Officials could not comment further on the nature of the threat, but said there was new travel advice for Libya.
