The first snow of the season in Turkey has temporarily caused traffic to be halted on the Bolu Mountain Highway, part of the Trans European Motorway (TEM) that connects Istanbul to Ankara.
Snow flurries caused a number of small accidents as drivers were not expecting snowfall at this time of the year in that location.
Snowplows cleared the roads in places where snow reached 10 centimeters, reports said.
The police have warned drivers using the road to be more careful and use snow tires.
