Latest remembered snow fall...

I'm interested to see who can remember the latest snow fall in a month in any year... What with the complete mare this winter has been, and with everyone rushing Spring in to save us, I wondered who can remember a surprise and unexpected dump of the white stuff? What month was it and what year?

I can't remember the year off the top of my head, but It must have been about 16/17 years ago, my brother was visiting my parents in Nantwich on my younger brothers birthday (hence the reason I can remember the Month and date!) It was April 15th... that has to be pretty late, but I am sure one of you good people can better it!!!
