Plenty going on at the moment, starting off this week, fax chart for the end of the week showing a deep low sat bang over the country, wind, rain, cold and snow circulating around, potential for some large falls of snow over hills especially.
longer term, and although this chart is right at the end of the GFS run, it does demonstrate that the usual rampant polar vortex is in shreds! Always a good sign for cold and the absence of Atlantic storms. December certainly shaping up nicely, just need to get some colder uppers in place and it could be an interesting Christmas period.
